SDLRoids Introduction
The game can either run in windowed mode or in fullscreen mode. You can (usually) switch between them during play by pressing Alt-Enter. The play area (apart from the score/lives/etc. display) is square and centred, just like in the the original Hyperoid did. This might not might not change, bug for now that is how it works. Supported operating systems now are Unix, Win32 and MacOS X. SDLRoids is also known to work on BeOS. An experimental version for PalmOS is also available. DownloadThe SDLRoids project is hosted on SourceForge. You can visit the main project page, go to the download area for the newest releases or go to the CVS page if you want the latest source. Please note that the CVS source not necessarily works. It's where the work-in-progress is. It should at least compile though!2001-04-27: A binary version of 1.3.4 is now available
for MacOS X! Manual and changesThe manual is automatically generated from the UNIX manpage and it describes gameplay, controls and all the features of the game. Read the manual now. The ChangeLog, which contains all noteworthy changes in SDLRoids, is also available online. It's updated at each release and possible at other times as well. |
